The state-of-the-art incubation center 'United Incubation Hub' at United Group of Institutions (UGI), Naini, Prayagraj was inaugurated, on 12/10/2022 by Chief Guest, Prof Pradeep Kumar Mishra, Vice Chancellor (VC) of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, in the presence of various dignitaries. After innauguration, Prof. Mishra took a walk through tour of United Incubation Hub and talked with students engaged in Entrepreneurship & Innovation. He also motivated the students to opt startup as a career option as it brings a lot of scope for growth and learning. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Mishra praised the management of United Group of Institutions for setting up an incubation centre with high-class facilities and infrastructure. He said that this center would certainly cater to the need of youth of Prayagraj and its surrounding regions who want to start their own business. UGI President Dr Jagdish Gulati welcomed the chief guest by presenting him a bouquet. He expressed his gratitude towards the VC for visiting the campus, sparing time from his busy schedule. Shivesh Gaur, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), United Incubation Hub, presented a brief report on the establishment and what all services will be made available to the incubated startups and other fiscal & non fiscal benefits that entrepreneurs and startups can avail from government of Uttar Pradesh under StartinUP program .Vice Chairman Satpal Gulati, Vice President-UGI & Director-UIH Gaurav Gulati, UIT Principal & Senior Technical Advisor-UIH, Prof Sanjay Srivastava, and Head Entrepreneurship & Innovation Amitabh Srivastava along with all the faculty members & students were also present on the occasion.
‘Local Startup Meet (LSM)-Prayagraj’ was organized in collaboration with Entrepreneurship-Cell, IIT Kharagpur and United Incubation Hub at United Auditorium. CEO, Vehicle Care, Arvind Verma shared his views on the scope of startups and the steps being taken by the government to promote the same. A panel discussion on 'How Will India's Startup Ecosystem Receive from the Current Funding Winter' along with a startup pitching session was also organized on the occasion in the presense of all the panelist including Mr. Mohan Krishnan, Investor/Mentor at Aspire Labs, Mr.Jatin Srivastava, Partner & Co-Founder of Seth & Associates, Mr.Subrata Patra, Managing Partner at Ideacapital.Ventures, Mr. Ritesh Saxena, Innovation Hub Manager(AKTU)-Policy & Ex Director Startup Cell Uttar Pradesh, Ms Vani Agarwal, Founding Partner Thinking Spree and Mr. Sunil Bansal, Founder & CEO DCB Advisory Pvt. Ltd., faculty members of college and a large number of students & entrepreneurs.
Grihanikala Pvt.Ltd. was selected as the best startup of the event and was awrded with a Certificate of Achievement. Also, the founders of Grihani were later called to Kharagpur to represent Prayagraj as the selected startup from Prayagraj Chapter of LSM - 2022 for pitching in the finale at Kshitij, the annual techno-managerial fest of IIT Kharagpur in January 2023. All the other participated startups were provided with a certificate of Merit for being selected to pitch their innovative ideas at LSM-Prayagraj.
Prayagraj’s two startups incubated at UIH.To give proper direction and momentum to their business, two startups from Prayagraj incubated at United Incubation Hub (UIH) of United Group of Institutions (UGI), Naini, on Monday. To cement the pact, representatives of these startups including Grihanikala Pvt Ltd and Empyrean Consultancy Services (ECS) Pvt Ltd also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during a meeting organized at UIH located at United Institute of Technology (UIT) for the same. It is worth mentioning that incubation is a process which is essentially required for startups to get requisite facilities and supports from Incubation Centre to grow and develop. Director-UIH Gaurav Gulati, CEO-UIH Shivesh Gaur and the founders of both the startups, Rishabh Dubey and Arpita Kuwaha, from Grahinikala and Pradeep Singh from ECS, signed the MOU respectively. The MOU was signed in the presence of Principal, UIT Prof. Sanjay Srivastava, and Dean, Students Welfare, United College of Engineering and Research (UCER) Prof. Nandita Pradhan. Speaking on the occasion, Director, UIH congratulated the founders and members of the startups and said that with this agreement, both the entrepreneurs would now be able to avail the facilities of UIH and accelerate their business. The representatives of both the startups thanked the Director of UIH for giving this opportunity to collaborate with UGI. UGI PRO Rajesh Srivastava, UIH Head Amitabh Srivastava, Manager Harshita Srivastava and Manas Pandey were also present on the occasion.
